Recently, Dalian University of Technology ASCE Student Chapter has been awarded the 2021 Significant Improvement from American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE). ASCE points out that the Student Chapter has shown considerable advancement in its activities from the previous year.
The Chapter was established in July 2016 and was officially accredited by ASCE in January 2019, making it the seventh officially authorized ASCE Student Chapter on the mainland. In recent years, the Chapter has been invited to conduct academic exchanges with Tongji University, Southeast University, University of California, Berkeley and many other well-known domestic and overseas universities in civil engineering, and compete with them in the American Civil Engineering Competition, and achieved remarkable results.Under the influence of the epidemic, the Chapter has uniquely carried out various activities, such as software teaching and academic salons.
With the goal of cultivating students' professional interest and enthusiasm, promoting the study of professional courses, broadening students' international vision, and improving the quality of talent training, the Chapter strives to combine learning with academic research, connect competition with major, integrate internship with practice, and connect personnel training with international exchanges and cooperation , so as to achieve the goal of training a new generation of civilengineers.
