School of Material Science and Engineering research team made a new breakthrough in the field of sodium-ion batteries

Date:Oct 22, 2024

Recently, Prof. Fangyuan Hu of the School of Materials Science and Engineering has made progress in the creation of key materials for sodium-ion batteries, revealing the constitutive relationship between the electrode potential-induced interfacial tension changes in liquid metals, elucidating the new mechanism of micro-stress field to boost Na+ transport, and constructing a new type of high-performance electrochemical energy storage device. The research result is titled “Micro-stress pump with stress variation to boost ion transport for high-performance sodium-ion batteries” (sodium-ion batteries). The research result, titled “Micro-stress pump with stress variation to boost ion transport for high-performance sodium-ion batteries”, was published in Energy & Environmental Science (Impact Factor: 32.4), the top journal in the field of materials, and was selected as the cover paper of the current issue.
