DUT Wins Four Gold and One Silver Awards at the 2021 International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva

The 2021 International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva was held online from March 10 to 14. Five scientific and technological achievements of Dalian University of Technology participated in the exhibition and won four gold awards and one silver award.



Among the projects that participated in the exhibition, Series of New Technique-Flexible Support for Geotechnical Engineering by Prof. Jia Jinqing's team from Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering and "Full-use and zero-emission" technology-Coversion of agricultural residues to valued biofuels and fertilizer by Prof. Xue Chuang's team from School of Bioengineering won the gold medal, while two projects by Prof. Sun Wei and Prof. Song Xueguan's team from School of Mechanical Engineering, A Shape-Performance Integrated Digital Twin for Large Mechanical System and DADOS A Cloud-based Data-driven Design Optimization System, both won the gold medal. A digital twin paradigm for human lumbar spine by Prof. Song Xueguan and Prof. Li Zhonghai won a silver medal.

International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is one of the three major invention exhibitions in the world, founded in 1973 and successfully held for 48 sessions until 2021. This large-scale international exhibition is co-organized by the Federal Authorities of the Swiss Confedration,Geneva Cantonal Government, Geneva Municipal Government and the World Intellectual Property Organization, and it is also one of the longest and largest invention exhibitions in the world. DUT attaches great importance to the international exchange and cooperation of intellectual property, actively selects outstanding projects to participate in international exhibitions and expands technology transfer channels. So far, DUT has won 14 gold medals in the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
