Recently, the list of winners for 2019 National Science and Technology Awards were released. Four achievements of DUT won the awards.

The “High-performance Precision Manufacturing Innovation Team, Dalian University of Technology” led by Academician Guo Dongming won the National Science and Technology Advancement Award (Innovation Team), which is the only team to receive the award this year.

The project “Dissociation Evolution Theory and Regulation Method for Marine Natural Gas Hydrates” led by Professor Song Yongchen won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award.

The project “Theory and Methods for Structural Optimization Problems under Complex Constraints” led by Professor Guo Xu and Academician Cheng Gengdong won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award.

And the project “Technology and Equipment of Ultraprecision Grinding for Large Size Silicon Wafers” led by Professor Kang Renke won the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award.

According to the statistics of relevant authoritative media, in the statistics of the total number of national science and technology awards won by universities in 2019, DUT, as the first affiliation, ranked forefront with “brilliant achievements”. This is an important display of the first-class university and first-class discipline construction achievements of the university.
