Small-molecule Antiviral Drug Engineering Research Center of Dalian was Approved to be Established at DUT

Small-molecule Antiviral Drug Engineering Research Center of Dalian was approved to be established at School of Chemical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, DUT has attached great importance to the prevention and control of the epidemic and the enhancement of relevant scientific research. In charge of Academician Peng Xiaojun, Dean of School of Chemical Engineering, more than 70 scientific researchers were quickly assembled to form a collaborative research team for antiviral drug development. Professor Wang Hansong, Secretary of the DUT Party Committee, paying great attention to the progress of scientific research and team safety, and paid visits to the front-line researchers. Academician Guo Dongming, the President of DUT, encourages the team to speed up key technological breakthroughs.



The Small-molecule Antiviral Drug Engineering Research Center of Dalian is among the first batch of 2020 municipal engineering research centers organized by Dalian Development and Reform Commission to effectively respond to COVID-19, and to improve the ability to detect the virus.
