On October 30, Professor Nishan Canagarajah and Sarah Davies, the Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Leicester and their delegation visited Dalian University of Technology. They attended the meeting of the DLI Board of Administration (BoA) and deepened the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.

Xiang Changle, the Secretary of the University Party Committee, met Vice Chancellor Nishan Canagarajah and his delegation to strengthen cooperation, especially in deepening the scientific research cooperation between the two universities. Vice President Luo Zhongxuan attended the meeting. In the afternoon, the two sides held the BoA meeting. President Jia Zhenyuan attended it. The members of BoA reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, explained the adjustment of the members of the committee, and listened to the joint report of the DLI Deans and the financial report of the accounting center. The two sides exchanged the views of putting forward a further cooperation plan. Vice President Zhang Chi, President Assistant Zhan Jingjing, and Ms Wang Jue, the Director of the International Office participated in the meeting. The delegation also visited the History Museum of DUT and the National Virtual Reality Laboratory and Teaching Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

On October 31, Vice Chancellor Nishan Canagarajah and his delegation visited the DLI, Panjin Campus Library, Analysis and Experimental Center and other places on the Panjin Campus. Vice Chancellor Nishan Canagarajah kindly communicated with the UoL staff to understand their life and work on the Panjin Campus and expressed thanks for their hard work. Besides, the delegation also had a teatime with DLI student representatives. Vice Chancellor Nishan Canagarajah shared his experiences and views on research and was deeply impressed by the student's English ability and scientific research achievements. In the afternoon, Pro Vice Chancellor Sarah Davis gave an academic report on the topic, Unlocking the Past from Records Beneath the Ocean Floor and a seminar about Study Opportunities at University of Leicester for Campus students in the lecture hall.

On November 1, Pro Vice Chancellor Sarah Davis also visited the DUT Development Zone and the DUT-RU ISE the State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals of DUT.
