The Delegation of Japanese Students Visited DUT

On March 20, a delegation of 15 people from Japan visited DUT. The delegation consisted of the staff from the Consulate-general of the PRC in Niigata and the students who won the prize of “Toki Cup” Chinese speech contest. 22 representatives of DUT students communicated with them during the campus tour and group discussion.

Bai Yanqiu, the consul of Consulate-general of the PRC in Niigata, introduced the original intention of this activity and stressed the significance of China-Japan friendly exchanges. He expected a solider friendship among the youth of the two countries and a more promising development of China-Japan friendly relations.

Wang Jue, the director of DUT international office, warmly welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the basic information of DUT and its cooperation with Japanese universities. She expected the activity would promote a deeper understanding and a robuster friendship between the students of the two countries.

Then the students conducted a heated discussion on education, social practice, innovation and entrepreneurship, international exchanges, and cultural & sports activities. At last, representatives of the two parts presented the results of the discussion.

The successful holding of the activity not only provided valuable opportunities for the youth to exchange ideas, but also promoted in-depth cooperation in education, culture and other frontiers.
