On July 12, Dalian University of Technology (DUT) - Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Exchange Day was successfully held online. Education Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in China, leaders of the two universities and Global Engagement Departments, teachers and students in chemical engineering, environmental science, and architectural arts attended the event.

With the integration of China's "Belt and Road" initiative in 2018 and Indonesia's "Global Maritime Fulcrum" concept, people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries have been significantly consolidated.

Over the past years, ITS has become DUT’s first friendly university in Indonesia and an important partner in Southeast Asia. With the exchange of various disciplines as the link, a variety of exchange activities have been launched between DUT and ITS. In the future, it is hoped that the advantageous resources of the two universities in education and scientific research cooperation will be fully utilized to jointly promote further cooperation between Asian regions.

On the afternoon and the morning of 13th, academic exchange seminars on chemical engineering, environmental science, and architecture between the two universities were successfully held in a combination of online and offline methods. More than 200 teachers and students from the two universities conducted academic exchanges and discussions on topics such as cutting-edge scientific research achievements in the field of chemical industry, environmental waste treatment and recycling, and the sustainable concept of architectural design.
