Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is one of the key national universities administrated directly under the Ministry of Education of China, which is also sponsored by national projects including the 211 Project, the 985 Project and the "Double First Class" Initiative. In order to encourage the students from European Countries, the US and world-renowned universities to further their studies in China, China's Ministry of Education has implemented the Credits Students’ Program Scholarships. Relevant overseas friendly universities of DUT can jointly apply for this program. The specific items are as follows:
1.Requirements for Scholarships
A. The application for scholarships must be executed under the formal cooperation and exchange agreement between the two universities with the term mentioned that the credits earned by the students from the host university can be transferred back to the home university and be accepted by the home university.
B. After the confirmation of both universities’ qualifications for application, DUT will submit the application materials to the Ministry of Education of China in mid-May each year. The approval results can be obtained in mid-July each year. Approved students from foreign universities will be qualified to apply for the program formally. Students (including undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral students) from approved friendly universities can freely choose the time to study in DUT from September 1 of that year to August 31 of the following year. Students from the US shall study in DUT for at least 1 months, while students from other countries and regions shall study for at least 3months.
C. Students recommended by European friendly universities must be of European nationality, while other universities may recommend their students who must be the nationals of the countries where the friendly universities are located.
D. The standards of scholarships are based on the national standards for studying in China for foreign students. Please refer to the link below:
2. Scholarships Application Process
If your university wants to recommend students to participate in the program, please send the recommendation forms (see attachment) by the international office (based on the university cooperation and exchange agreement) or relevant college teacher (based on the college cooperation exchange agreement) to DUT International Office 2 months before the departure of students. We will continue to guide students to submit application materials and other follow-up work after receiving the recommendation
